Electricity users to get relief in Punjab

The President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Muhammad Nawaz Sharif stated on Friday that the Punjab government will grant a Rs. 14 per unit relief to users who use up to 500 units of power in the August and September bills.
The former prime minister, speaking to the media alongside Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore, stated that Rs. 45 billion has been allotted to provide relief to consumers in this regard.
He also stated that the Punjab government has earmarked Rs. 700 billion for a solar initiative aimed at bringing relief to the middle class.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his support for the program for power users unveiled by Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

“The decision to reduce electricity rates by Rs. 14 per unit for consumers who use up to 500 units per month is a notable example of a people-centric initiative by Nawaz Sharif and the Punjab Chief Minister,” according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Bureau.”
